Pros and cons of Laminar Pro - Image Editor app for iPhone and iPad

Laminar Pro - Image Editor app good for

I have a couple pages of iPad photo editor apps, and this one is the most well rounded app... You can make crappy pics look awesome. Its like a desktop app, but its on my iPad... I wish I had this on my iMac too, its amazing.
It is rare that I give an app a five-star rating, but Laminar deserves it! A very flexible, stable, all-purpose photo editor.
I have just started using it, and it is already beginning to reveal its power. All the buttons and options can feel intimidating, but Im finding my way around. Its going to be quite an adventure, I can tell already. A good one! A more moderately paced tutorial, for us humans, would garner 5 stars.
I love having access to layers and blending modes like I do in Photoshop.
Used it for all of 15 minutes and Im sure this will be the photo editing program that Ill be using 90 % of the time. With what it can do Im wondering what they could offer in updates?
Sometimes when masking the zoom screws up and I had a few crashes. Once I got the hang of things I was able to pull off some awesome edits, nice job on this app

Some bad moments

Having played around with this attempt at producing something that ought to work a lot better than it does, I can only say that I was deeply disappointed at both its limitations and the crudity of its operation. Granted: allowance must be made for an app whose interface is already rendered less precise through the use of a touchscreen interface. Amongst many things - and which had originally attracted me - I found the mask-making layer system to be conceptually interesting but practically of little use when it came to making even a simple mask. To me, this app is pretentious beyond its real capacity - and, whilst it will naturally never be able to compete with a desktop equivalent (being not, anyway, designed to do so), its attempt at achieving a promise beyond its overall capacity to deliver, frustrated me beyond measure. That said, at the price, if you want to try it - and maybe find something useful in it - its not going to break the bank. Nevertheless, to me, This is typically the kind of app whose creator should find a way to offer it free "under trial" - so as to allow people a chance to play with it and determine its appropriateness prior to purchase. Simple enough to do: "save" function with a watermark.
Processing...forever!!! It needs an update urgently!I cannot even open a file...
Search for pictures in facebook or bing and work with them directly in-app! I dont know any other app which is able to do this! 100% recommended!
Im not doing the update ... Been told by people who have that the old filters from Iris that we all love, have disappeared! Huge disappointment!!
Oh my I spent a long time using Laminar yesterday & it is absolutely awful. Plus there was features/functions stated it had that I certainly couldnt locate. As well the UI etc is awkward to use, its not user friendly at all. The only part that is improved it the look of the apps UI background, other than that I absolutely hate Laminar Pro/Express these apps are horrible. Bring back my Iris Photo Suite to the AppStore as your replacement upgrade is an utter fail & a useless downgrade. Im not impress or thankful at all! Huge deceiving disappointment.
Used it a few times but hard to navigate, also the recent update has stopped and I cant even get into it, it just keep saying loading and I am considering deleting it from the IPad.
