Laminar Pro - Image Editor App Reviews

Im so glad I found this app. I create a lot of art on my iPad, and this opens a whole new set of creative possibilities. The masking tools are intuitive, the color controls and transformations are powerful, and I havent had it crash on me yet. Im hoping the developer keeps improving it, because it has potential to be amazing.

I want to like the app, but it constantly lags and crashes. When importing a photo or a new layer, the app becomes unresponsive and takes a couple of minutes to work. Also, if I leave the screen, I am unable to return to my work space without it crashing. The app will give you the opportunity to restore the last session, however if I was working with different layers of png, they will have white backgrounds making the picture unusable.

I had iOS 6 and now have 7. It doesnt open. Can we fix this????

Please update this application to work in iOS 7. As soon as I start it, it immediately shuts down. Reinstalling did not fix it.

But now, in iOS 7, it wont even open.

CRASH ALL THE TIME, I even cant open it. (ios7 ipod touch 5)

I really liked this App before I upgraded to iOS7. I just purchased the pro version and now it wont open. Any ideas?

Thank you thank you thank you!!!! This app has needed updated for quite a while. It used to be my go to editing app but I had to switch to something else. Now, Im back to using Laminar. It is faster, more sophisticated, and more full featured than anything on the App Store. The updated user interface makes using it a breeze. If you are looking for one app that does everything, get Laminar Pro. It is the best!

Great app!

This is by far the best app I have used on the iPad to edit my images. I have some things for my wish list: 1. Before you changed the way we saved files, i was allowed to change the file name when saving to the PHOTO STREAM. I would like that back. 2. I thought we had more access to other photo import options. We used to be able to import a file from the clipboard and that feature is now gone. I would like that back. 3. When I am done editing a photo, I have to go into Photogene to input EXIF data. This is why I gave you only 3-stars. There is no reason you cant provide this. Even iPhoto adds a caption to the EXIF data. 4. I would like to see the ability to import from various clouds and even from Flickr. If we can export to these places, coding to import should be as easy. My biggest wish is EXIF data. I used photoshop on my laptop and not my iPad has completely replaced the laptop when I added a hard-case keyboard and use a Jot stylist and the Evergreen stylists. Some of my clients require that data be stored in the EXIF because that is where they get the cutlines, bylines, categories and sub-categories, location, date, GPS data, and usage and rights management data. Photogene allows update to all of that. However, like in photoshop, I have to resave the image in this other editor, and I am not sure if the image degrades like it does in PS when multiple JPG files are saved.

This was my go-to favorite photo editing app. Now I have an iPad Air 0S 7 and it constantly freezes and crashes and will completely freeze when I try to share on Facebook or other social app. Please update! This went from 5 stars to 1 star. I miss this great app. Please fix it! Previous review for old version: This is so far the ONLY app in the whole store Ive given 5 stars to... This does soooo much for a $2.99 app on an iPad! I play around with some other fx apps but eventually get frustrated and always end up importing them into Laminar. So far Ive been experimenting on lower res images for the web, Im wondering how my bigger print images will fare... I hope as well!

A wonderful photo editor with layer support, psd exports, and Dropbox integration. Could hardly ask for more.

This was my favorite app until the update to ios7 you have completely screwed this app up. I have recommended this to a number of my photography friends and now in its current state it is a waste of money. If there was a negative star rating it would certainly earn it. And once again I loved this app before the update.

Wont even let me report a bug! When I start a project and then press the layers arrow it says "applying changes" and pops off the menu. It does this about 3 times at least before the menu stabilises and it stays so I can choose an option. Also the photo option does this, So if I want to add a photo as a layer, I less the photo button, It says "applying changes" and menu pops away, I have to do this at least 3 times, and once as many as 5 times. Every button bugs out, and option soften dont stick. So kind of useless these days.

Why are my brushes hidden? I cant even find the gradient tool anymore. Im sorry that the new iOS gave you trouble, but my app was working well until the new upgrade. Give me back my tools please.
